Looks like you might need the large model based on this size chart on the link below...now mg, I know this is for use in a wheelchair and the safepacker is meant to be worn on the side....have you also considered a gun fanny pack? This would keep the weapon right on your lap and would be faster to access...:and you can get them a lot cheaper to boot..google around...lots of brands and styles on the web...if you decide to go that route, I'm sure there a quite a few members here who use one with a smith revolver and give you some opinions........)

Safepacker Concealed Carry Holster, Concealed Weapon Holster

You may not be aware the the ".357 Magnum" is a specific model revolver built on the large N Frame. It would be much easier to answer your question if you would specify if your gun is a J Frame (small), K Frame (medium), L Frame (medium-large) or N Frame (large), or the model number from the yoke cut, 60, 66, 686, 627, etc.

If in any doubt after looking at their fit chart online, just give them a call --- they are very nice friendly folks, eager to help. I once stopped in thinking I needed a particular size, but "Mrs. Ralph" insisted that I try it for size. Fortunately, I had the gun in the truck, and lo, the chart was close, but not precise. She ducked into the back, and re-emerged with an exact fit, in the color I wanted! By the way, it won't hurt to purchase a slightly oversize unit, which may accommodate a longer barreled future purchase --- they offer spacers to help fit short barrels on large frames, etc. A parsimonious friend throws any gun he wants to carry into their largest size holster, sort of a "one size fits all" arrangement... It's doesn't provide a precise fit, but these are not "quick draw" rigs and will never be the equivalent of a precisely boned leather holster, so a slightly oversized compartment is not a great liability...

MG: I know you are in a wheelchair, and I don't know the degree of your range of motion, but have you considered either a shoulder holster, or for a shorter barreled piece, an ankle holster? Ken Null makes an excellent polymer shoulder holster that will accommodate all barrel lengths for a specific frame (J, K, etc.). The holster is very lightweight and conceals well. If there is a downside, it is that the draw is proprietary and requires practice. I have a Null holster for my J frames, and one for my K frames. In my opinion, the K frame is the upper limit for carrying comfortably.

Best of luck,

Dave
