Yes, hearing protection should be worn when using power tools, I even wear it when I use a vacuum cleaner.
Safety glasses/goggles have become fashionable among bicyclists now. I
have been wearing presciption glasses since 1976, am also a cyclist, more than once I have felt something ricocheting off them.
Fit of safety/shooting glasses is important. I once had a 45 ACP land between the upper edge of my shooting glasses and my cheek. Ouch!
