I like to experiment making different sandwiches. Yesterday, I bought some onion flavored ciabatta rolls. And I came up with:

Slice the rectangular roll the long way, and pull out the dough in the center. I just like the crusts for making a sandwich. Next on the bottom part of bread, a layer of Mancini longshots ( fried hot peppers ), then a couple pieces of aged sharp provolone. Then some rare roast beef, and top that with sauteed spinach ( garlic and oil), then some grated Romano. Then on the top piece of bread, a bit of light Greek dressing.

Man was that good!

We grew up without disposable income. In our British kitchen we oft times had beans on toast which, if done right, are delicious.

On a trip to the base commissary mom discovered Miracle Whip. She slapped some on white bread with sliced bananas and a cheap lunch was born. My sister, brother and I loved them. On the day I fully regain my taste buds I am going in head first.

Ya just never know until you try..

So far some of the suggestions make me yuk. (especially onions on a sammich)

My choice:
Rye bread
Ketchup
Honey mustard
Pepperoni
salami
ham
baloney
American cheese
2 sweet pickles

Cut in half. Serve with chocolate milk and a banana on the side.

An hour later a six-pack of Bud.

No offense, but I'd need a six pack to wash the taste out of my mouth too. ;)

The beans on toast sounds pretty good; might be even better with some jalapenos and/ or salsa on top.

Can't handle Miracle Whip.
