I was at one of the "cool" gunshops
(Lots of "Tactical" stuff to drool over

)
so I only saw the aftermath.
Old guy traded in a 22 revo for a NIB SW 642.
The dealer let me fondle it for a bit - it looked
just like this.......

I'd call it a 95% gun

I had just bought a Rifle and didn't have the $$ on me to snatch it...

You should get to know your dealer better. Maybe he would hold it for you if you were really interested.
Then again, maybe not.

ps, I have direct payroll deposit to my gun dealer. He gives me an allowance to live on for the month.

Now that is funny, but actually figured the direct deposit was to the tobacconist!

Maybe the "old guy" has more use for the 642 and the lugged .22 is just a boat anchor--actually a battleship anchor.

And the "old guy" just didn't want to fuss around paying out money or doing any consignment or anything else. He might have needed that 642 badly, like right now, or so he was thinking.
