Saw a soon to be Darwin winner on a KS farm to market road.

I see what you did there.

But I wont fall to your ploy to turn this into a "bear thread" no way! I'm smart enough to know what you are up to! You are trying to get us all to talk about what round or cartridge is best for bears and it ain't going to work because I refuse to turn this into a bear thread. ;):p

For those of you whose sarcasm meter is broken that was a joke.;)

A darwinster messing with a bear and a box becomes quite simply a box lunch.

Now back to our scheduled program. Levitating after stepping on a venomous reptile.

I stepped over this bad boy a couple weeks ago. Here is a pic of a 5 footer after being Combat-erized. Been watching my feet ever since.

Stepped over it? Scary thought. Glad you came out ok.

When young we were running to the school bus, my sister was in front of me. I saw her foot hit a huge copper head in the middle of the back and watched in horror as he turned and struck at her but she was already off him and he missed. I jumped over him and ended up dispatching him with my big old world history book. I hit him in the middle of his back with the book spine, broke his back and pages flew every where. I found a large rock and finished the deed.

Try squatting on a large copperhead.

At a primitive rondevous I once squatted on a copperhead do do business behind a cedar tree in Oak leaves. Inches from my most prized primitive things was his head perfectly camo'd in the leaves. When the snake came into focus I went airborne backwards. Cleaned up and went back to dispatch the primitive outhouse agent.

I had walked up on him in the twilight and he was perfectly lined up between my legs. a little left or right and I may have been a stastic.

Five backyards down. He actually had four copperheads in two traps.

What does a snake trap look like? Had a harmless Queen snake around my sheds that the wife wanted GONE. I have since wondered if they make traps for snakes. I read that an egg in a minnow trap will catch a snake, but you know how "internet" education is. Just wondered if there really is such a think as a "snake trap"?

I'm with those that hate ALL snakes, can't help it.

My grandfather always shot poisonous snake when one was around, even when working as a city cop. He also wore snake skin boots with his suits. I never found out why he hated snakes so much, but I take his advice to heart regarding snakes. 22LRs always did the trick, but .22 Mags did it better. And those Remington .357 rounds tore the poor devils in two.
