I can't help you from the standpoint attaching your stock to your 15-22p.

However, I would encourage you NOT to sbr the pistol, but instead, pick up a 15-22 rifle, mod the stock the way you want it, and then sbr THAT.

Couple of reasons:
1) if you screw up, you're out a coveted 15-22p.
2) modding a 15-22 costs nothing except the rifle.
3) You can prove form/function of the stock before you file the paperwork if you mod a 15-22.

Best of luck, regardless. Let us know how it turns out - should be pretty friggin cool!

I agree... get a 15-22, change the stock and register the lower. Then all you have to do is put the 15-22p upper on the registered lower.

Yep. If I were you. $300 gets a new rifle and switch the uppers.
Up here in Canada there is no sbr classification.
Just non restricted and restricted firearms. The 15-22p and rifle fall under restricted due to being an AR verient. Lol.
Thus we can only shoot it on gov certified ranges.
The only pistols that we can shoot anywhere are antique class. Older than 1900.

15-22P's are fetching a premium right now. Here's what I would do:

Buy a 15-22 rifle.

Register the lower on a Form 1 with a 6" barrel.

When your stamped form comes back, slap that 15-22P upper on that registered rifle lower.

That way you modify nothing, and can put the 16" rifle upper back on the lower, switching the rifle and pistol uppers at will.

I SBR'd my rifle before I got my 15-22P, so I guess I have both:

Shown with cans! Spectre II (rifle) and Sparrow (pistol)... The Sparrow has since been replaced with a Warlock II...
