I am looking to get a suppressed rifle. First I was going to get a 77/22 integrally suppressed similar to the ones I use at work. It looks as someone might have beat me too it. So my second option was a 15-22. I want a shorter rifle but with good accuracy (would like moa at 100). I was hoping to get maybe a 14 total barrel length. I don't know if it would be better to go Intergrally or SBR with a can (I know that either ways its 2 stamp gun either way).

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

A 15-22 with 1 MOA accuracy is rather elusive. You might get it with a Performance Center model and a judicious selection of ammo (match ammo, not bulk) but that is not guaranteed. 1.5 to 2.0 MOA is a more reasonable expectation.

If the ultimate goal is absolute minimum noise, the 77/22 will be better than a semi-auto, IMHO.

Good luck with the project.

I'm using an a-tech silencer and when stood 20ft from the rifle all I could hear was the bullet hitting its target, when the silencer was put on my friends Brno bolt action the sound was identical from the same distance however when stood within say 5-10 ft of the rifles the action of the 15-22 was louder (as expected).

The obvious advantage of a separate can is that you're not limited to that one firearm when using it.

There are fun things going for each.

A screw on can is great because you can use it on other weapons, pistols, rifles and the like.

The built in ones are cool simply because of cool factor and shorter overall length.

Get whichever you prefer. I went with a screw on one because I use the rifle for timed competitions which need the report to activate the timer, but I enoy shooting suppressed as well.

Yea it's a little steep, I've seen them under a grand though. When you consider the 15-22 runs around 500 and a good suppressor is about 400 then you're really not far off and IMO this integral looks way better.
