My LGS called me today and told me they had one m&p 15 that was just dropped off. I walked in and told them to do the paper work, because i needed some sights for it. Went ahead and bought some Magpul Mbus front/rear for it. Now the kicker.......This is my ole ladies valentines present. She doesnt even know that Monday i put in a call to find one of these for her. And now she has no clue its sitting in the gun safe

Nice .. Dont know how much shooting you will be doing, but I warped/melted an MBUS on the gas block of my OR. Just a heads up. It cooled and now wobbles. lol I ended up with a Troy battle sight for the gas block.

I doubt she will shoot near as much as me. But if she happens to like it that much and intendeds on much shooting. Then you are correct, i will end up finding her some more sights or maybe she'll want optics. For now, this is just to get her more into it by having her own rifle to shoot. But i do thank you for the heads up.

Knowing her there is no telling what she'll want to do with it. It's her rifle, so im not going to argue with her. You know the ole saying, as long as the woman is happy then so is the man. She's not really a pink person as much as she is a Coach person. But its her weapon, not her purse (although i guess that could be a weapon too.). So i doubt she'll go to extreme measures with a little 5.56.

I just can't believe I found it in a little under 3 days. And you guys would shoot me, if you only knew how cheap i walked away with it.

Whoa, glad to know now that i actually saved money on it. This one was new and put into inventory shortly before i walked in the door. I dont guess i'll complain to myself about it anymore. I seriously thought it was a bit over priced. Since i havent shopped for them in the last year or so. But i see now that I came out far better than i expected.

This funny part about this story is how hard the Pmags are to find. Although i have plenty of those for an army. I can already see my ole lady begging me to give her some Pmags.

I guess i'll have to tell her that i'll trade her some Pmags for ummm......i dunno.

Almost dumped a load when I saw the OR and heard Magpul & MBUS for sights. YIKES !!! Melt down...

I think this one will be fine for my ole lady. Well that is until one day she wakes up and says "I want a .300 Blackout". From that day forward i believe my ole lady will be the best ole lady anyone could ask for. It's kinda cool if ur ole lady wants an AR. But to say ur ole lady wants an AR in .300 Blackout is just 3x's as sexy. One day she will realize what ive been saying every time i tell her "The .300 blackout is exactly what the little sissy 5.56 should have been from the start".

To be honest guys, i walked out paying a little under $1100. I had my LGS look into finding me one, which i figured would take awhile. But to my surprise it showed up about 3 days later. Me and my LGS do business on a daily basis, so i get a small discount on things from time to time. This just so happened to go by at the right time.

Smitty thats one heck of a present for the wife for sure. I am sure you will win extra points for the fact them are impossible to find right now.

I second the motion to get something iron for the front sight. I know on my M&P15 I have made the mistake of brushing the barrel with my hand saying there hot is a understatement that was after 3 mags 90 rounds. I have a feeling that plastic front sight will melt first time out if you shoot at any length with it.
