Thanks for all the great comments on SCSW4! Rick & I hope to have books for sale and to be available to sign copies at the Tulsa Arms Show Nov. 12. Here's how we hope it will work:
BOOK SALES AT THE SHOW - Rick will have copies for sale, and will be set up at a table in the S&W Collectors area (sort of in front of the NRA Museums booth at the top of the stairs between the two levels.) Retail is $55, Amazon price has varied wildly (I've seen $30 to $52). Rick will probably ask slightly below retail for the book - they're a pain to haul halfway across the country.
BOOK SIGNING - Rick & I will both be glad to sign your copy regardless of where you buy it SATURDAY ONLY (we both have to leave Sunday). I'll be working the NRA Museum booth at the top of the stairs, just bring your book by. Rick will be at a sales table nearby. Think of it as the Gun Show version of Pok-e-mon Go - you gotta catch us both.
Btw, the NRA Museums booth will have an exhibit of Presidential shotguns - Ike's favorite bird gun, plus the biggest Colt shotgun ever made for one of America's biggest presidents (8 ga.)
SOUTHWEST BUNCH BBQ DINNER - Rick plans to hold some copies back to sell Saturday night at the famous Southwest Bunch SWCA BBQ & show-and-tell (but not too many coz he doesn't want to have to haul them back.) He'll be selling them there, and we'll both be glad to sign them and promise to try not to get sauce on your book. (Try.)
If you haven't been to a Southwest Bunch BBQ, it's open to S&W enthusiasts, both members of SWCA and non-members. Advance RSVP is appreciated so they know how much food to order. RSVP to: [email protected] or call Chad at 309-312-0106.
Good food, good fellowship, good guns. Best Western Airport Inn, doors open 6pm, food at 7pm.
SIGNING ELSEWHERE - Right now, neither Rick nor I plan to offer mail order sales of the book, but we're always glad to sign your copy. We both usually make it to the SWCA Collectors Assoc. Annual Symposium, the Wanenmacher Tulsa Shows and the NRA Annual Membership meeting (Atlanta this year.) I'm usually at the MVACA Kansas City Summer show, and Rick is at Virginia Gun Collector Association Show.
