Went to the range yesterday, just wanted to leave a review here.
SD40VE
My first gun but I've had the gun for about a month. I went to the range yesterday to finally shoot it.
I was able to get it for $309 with no charges for shipping or tax. I went to my LGS but they had the SD9VE but I wanted the 40 (don't know why). I really liked how it felt in my hands. Since this was going to be my first hand gun I wanted to stay under $400 in case I didn't like it afterwards and this gun fit the bill.
Even though I didn't go to the range for like a month after I got it, I think I cleaned it twice. I just couldn't resist.
Apex Spring Kit
I installed it the day before I went to the range so I can't really say how much it has helped or improved the trigger.
As for the installation, it took me a good 40-45 minutes. One thing that I had to do different was during the removal and insertion of the slave pin. I had to do it in the opposite direction that's stated in the YouTube video.
Range & Ammo
105 rounds
I had a great experience and if ammo wasn't so expensive (I'm in college) I would probably go every weekend if I could. I had Zero issues, no jams, no FTF, FTE, no nothing. The gun took it like nothing.
I need to improve many things;my hands shake too much (don't know why, they always have) so I need to control that. Sometimes, I just pull the trigger too fast and it either goes right/left and also the recoil handling. I've attached two of my targets, out of 105 rounds, only one was lost.
I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will continue to read and practice to get better. Hope this helps a future buyer.

I don't think I'll be using this brand anymore, it was very dirty compared to Remington and Federal. - 50 Federal 180 Grain
