SD40VE Slide!

Quick question, I have had my 40VE for a few weeks now. Last night after installing my Apex kit in it! I was wiping the gun down. I have noticed my slide is really dull looking! I have seen pictures, videos, and have seen other SDVE's slides they do not look dull. Am I not cleaning gun right or something? I would like to get it looking like new! Please help me!

Is your rag clean of oil? If the SD stainless slide is like the SW is, it's a blasted surface...Chances are, you're getting some oil in the finish.

Yes, i am using a new rag from wal mart! No oil at all.

A number of people have actual polished there slide maybe that is what you have seen. From the factory the slide has a slightly rough finish that look dull.

Maybe that's it! I really don't want to polish it. I don't want it to be real Shiny!
