Okay some may recall I wandered back in last fall and asked about my SD9VE and the Apex trigger as mine was having problems mainly along the lines of the trigger being dead whilst shooting it.
I tested it twice since and had the same issues the last being a week ago and I had the amusing occurrence of inserting a loaded mag, dropping the slide and nothing, trigger wasn't cocked
this was while I was testing it with one hundred rounds to see how it'd behave the plan being I'd fire twenty or thirty rounds and see what it did if it did nothing I'd shoot the same again and see if I could trace the problem or maybe go one hundred and maybe see if it was me and how I manipulated the thing...
Nope it was the gun so after the dead trigger I stopped and went and got the tools and yanked the Apex out and shoved the factory trigger back in,I then fired most the rest of the box of one hundred and not one problem,I rapid fired and even held it side ways and it just chugged right along.
I've carried the blasted thing for most of a half a year knowing it was malfunctioning and was even going to replace it with another brand of revolver until I got a shot of extra cash and picked a new model M66 which is wonderful, the SD9VE was sold yesterday to a friend because I dislike the factory trigger, but I dislike the Apex even more because for the better part of a year I had zero problems and suddenly it goes to choking which is a damned unnerving thing on a handgun used for defense.
I know it was working right when I installed it because I dumped a couple hundred rounds testing it to make sure I did it right and no issues what the hell happened between 2016 and late 2018 I don't know but there you go some kind of gremlin in the Apex? Who knows I just know I don't have time or money to figure it out.
