I've recently purchased the sd9ve that was on sale at cal-ranch and I must say money well spent. This is my first handgun and not disappointed. It fired anything I put threw it. No FTE unlike my brothers SR9 with the same ammo. I've read the trigger is bit heavy, which I felt it after firing 250 plus rounds my finger did start bugging me a bit. But hopefully couple more rounds threw it, it'll loosen up a bit. But I just wanted to say Hi and new to this forum and proud owner of a Smith and Wesson fireman

Yes, it's a great gun.
I didn't like the heavy trigger pull so I had the $20.00 spring package from Apex Tactical put in and that really helped. Dropped the pull weight from 8 pounds to 5 pounds. Couldn't be happier.

Welcome to the forum! There's a lot of good info on here. And if u have questions someone always has a good answer! I put the Galloway spring kit In my sd40ve and it reduced it to 5 2 lbs. Haven't Polished anything yet but others have and it seemed to help out even More. Hopefully u enjoy your sd9ve. The SD series is a great gun.once again welcome to the forum
