SD9VE Paddle Holster With Thumb Release

Hey guys,
I got the SD9VE earlier this year as my first gun and loving it! I just recently took my conceal carry class and should be getting my license later this week. I have not owned a holster before but during our class our instructor passed around some different holsters and one that I particularly liked was a paddle holster that had a belt loop too if you wanted but it had a thumb release. I liked that it locked and you had to have a thumb on the inside of the gun for the release. I have three kids and thinking that thumb release would be best if for some reason I layed it down somewhere or even if someone tried to grab it off me. Anyways not gonna get into all the kids/guns thing but I just really liked that thumb release. He mentioned it was SafariLand I think was the brand. I have searched all over there website and others and can't find the thumb release, paddle holster that was a hard plastic.

Any thoughts? Anyone have something similar they like?

Do you look in the Safariland "Duty Holster" section at the ALS/SLS models?
There are also ALS/SLS models in the "Concealable" section.

I love my Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0. From what I understand, the 3.0 is even better. Hides it well, and no worse in comfort than carrying a wallet.

Safariland ALS or Hogue holster

If you are as new o carrying a firearm as you say. Get a belt holster please. That way no one can snatch your firearm and the holster off. Security first please.
