Searching for 32-20 brass

Are you guys actually thinking Optics Planet is going to take your money and not deliver the product? Really?

I highly suggest you contact Optics Planet and ask them before you spread rumors on the NET about a company who does not have a reputation as a scammer site.

No, I don't have any connection with them. I have never had a problem of them not delivering what I ordered. They don't ship as fast as some others on the NET but they do send it.

My experience with them is exactly same, that seems to be their MO. In order to find out that they don't really have an item I had to complete the order with payment info and then they tell you they don't have the item also it's no a simple process to cancel an order. I don't bother with them anymore.

Exactly the same as one experience i had with them. Will never order anything from them again.

I'm not saying a business will "stiff" you if they take payment for a back order, you can probably get your payment refunded. If a business has customers that order the moon and they take your order and place it on back order they will end up with a sum of money in the bank and some business could keep a customers money until the customer asks for it back, just in case they ever get the moon in stock. The businesses that I buy from don't charge for an item that is back ordered until it ships.

I don't think anyone said that. What I said is the truth:

Might want to check the reviews before ordering......
OpticsPlanet Reviews - 215 Reviews of Opticsplanet.com | Sitejabber
"OpticsPlanet has a rating of 1.7 stars from 215 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about OpticsPlanet most frequently mention customer service, credit card, and next day problems. OpticsPlanet ranks 147th among Outdoor Equipment sites."

In other words most customers of Optics Planet think their service is bad. Call it what you want.

As I remember, Powder Valley (when they had powder) would take your order but not charge your CC until they shipped. Same with Roze. That's the proper way to do it.

Post #32, Feeling like I've been scammed!

Post #38, Either way it's imaginary because you don't have any and your money is gone.

I don't know, it sure sounds like some are thinking they won't get produce after paying.

Has anyone contacted them yet?

Yes, as it should be. 32-20 brass has become rare as hen's teeth the last few years. If there's any chance that my order will be filled, I'm willing to float them $30 for a few weeks. Even if it takes 2 months, I'll be happy when they arrive. What other option is there for getting some? $2 apiece on GB, or $3 apiece already loaded isn't for me.

Your point however is well taken. It is a poor business practice, and even if I get the brass sometime soon, I'll think twice about ordering from them again. It will depend on the situation and availability elsewhere.

I have been searching for 32-20 unprimed brass but am now aware scams are everywhere. Does anyone know of a reputable seller. Starline has a scam alert on their website and all the usual places are out of stock. I feel like a target every time I run out of ammo!
Just sent you a PM.

I checked my order status and it says expected to ship 7/12. I'm confident that a large established company like optics planet wouldn't take your money and not ship product, but I'm not that confident the brass will ever materialize. At worst, we get an email that our orders were cancelled because the product became unavailable. They haven't charged my credit card and I know they won't unless they actually ship.

I've ordered a lot of items from OP over the years and never been disappointed. It does seem a little shady to advertise something as "in stock", but will ship in 4-6 weeks. Obviously, it wasn't "in stock" and somehow they were anticipating a supply would be available within that time frame. A little weird, if you ask me, but I'm not worried about losing money.

I ordered 38 S&W brass from Starline, and the wait was over 30 days. I finally received a notice from them that I had to call and give credit card again, as it was over 30 days. I received the order within a few days. Does Optic Planet do the same thing? Tomorrow will make 30 days since I ordered. Guess I will see.

Optics Planet now saying shipping in 7-9 weeks for that 32-20 brass.

They just changed my shipping date from 7/12 to 7/24. Brass ordered on 6/5. Sigh, facepalm. I cancelled my order.

Other people who ordered, keep us posted on progress.

I just looked at my email from Starline dated May 8, 2023. It reads in part "If your order does not ship within 30 days, we will reach out to you with a phone call or email to get your credit card information. You will have 7 business days from the time we reach out to you to pay for the order before it will be canceled."

So they have not sent an email or made a phone call. No part of my order has been shipped. Weird.

I quit ordering from Optics Planet years ago. Tried a couple of times, never had a good experience with them. I figure that if no one else has what I'm looking for, chances are they won't either - even if they say they do. I decided long ago I would waste no more time or money on them.

I ordered 41 Long Colt that day in May. 32 WCF is a no - go with no orders or back orders accepted.

I ordered 32 H&R brass from Starline on January 3rd and the brass was delivered May 12th. When I placed the order the brass was under the "Backorder" status.

I'm still checking Starline's website at least weekly to see when (or if) 32-20 brass might become available for backorder. There certainly is a lot of interest in brass for this cartridge, so maybe we'll see some action before the end of the year.
