A Terrier in .38 S&W followed me home last week. It's stamped "32", and has a serial number in the 87xxx range, so I'm guessing it's 1957 issue.

Does anyone make a decent holster for this? It's definitely the improved I frame, not a J frame.

And leads would be appreciated.

I think you'll have to settle for a J-frame holster or go to a custom maker. I doubt that the fit will be very loose in a J-frame rig.

I'd suggest the Bianchi Model 5 for a basic holster and one of their (Model 6?) inside the pants flavor for more concealment.

It should fit any Chief's Special holster. Let us know. Some had pretty short frames and may not fit a holster for a Chief. And the Chief also went through several early variations.

A photo is in order. That will help a lot.

You might want to try "Vintage Gun Leather". Just Google it and you should find their site.
Lots of vintage holsters from Hieser, Lawrence and Myers. You might find something that works. Plus you'll have a period correct piece to match your gun.
A trick I have found to adjust the inside width (when necessary) is to buy some moleskin from your local pharmacy.
It is very soft and adhesive backed for easy application.

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far.

And the search continues...

I have some pictures I took with my telephone, but I don't think they're good enough for this forum. Let me take some with a real camera and I'll post them to this thread.
