Second Amendment Symposium at Law School

Today the Law Review of Penn State Dickinson Law School in Carlisle, PA sponsored a Second Amendment Symposium to present lectures and discussions on Second Amendment rights as affected by the recent Bruen case decided by the United States Supreme Court. Among the lecturers was Bob Barr, the current president of the NRA. I was literally blown away by the intellect he displayed in discussing the issues at hand.

It was a most professional presentation all the way around. The students really deserve commendations for putting this event together. I had a great time talking with one of the professors after I learned from his lecture that he was an aficianado of World War I and World War II US arms like I have collected or inherited over the years.

I had a good friend ask me about the NRA and what I thought the future holds as to whether he should renew his membership. I mentioned the importance of the present election and the effort to reduce the size of the board of directors. Today I saw your post and jumped at the chance to share another opinion with him, I sure am hoping that I can feel encouraged by your statement about the current President, Bob Barr. So thank you for helping me to encourage one member to hang in.
