Yep if I get the 100yr model it will make my old gun safe look sharp. Hell, it might even make it smell better!! You have sharp eyes the one in the back is indeed the 1911SC. I like the way it fits my hand but naturally it does not shoot as well as the 5" 1911's being a 4.25If you get that 100 yr model, your collection will surpass mine in the "purdy" factor immediately
BTW, is that 2 tone in the back right a 1911SC? If so, how do you like it and how does it feel/shoot versus your new non railed e series?
There are a ton of places that engrave guns. This gun was machine engraved and that process is a lot less expensive than hand engraved. Do a search on Google and you might be surprised at how cheap you can have this done.I really like the looks of the engraved model as well. I called Smith to see if I could send my gun in to have it done like the new engraved ones, but they said that they only do that to new ones. Very disappointing.
Gun has 2 days and 11 hours left on the auction and is now up to $708.00
Well I missed it by $10.00. My last bid was for $950 but every time I bid it instantly was outbid. I think the high bidder used a snipe program and after I found out that I was instantly outbid I gave up. Going to find me one of these dudes, but this was not the one.
I just picked this up yesterday for $575. Colt Combat Commander 45 SS, 70 series, used, but appears to have been never fired, finish is 100% perfect. Been lurking for a Commander for some time. This a internet picture, however.
