It's called stick with the factory trigger. It's awesome.

I don't have the shield but have an APEX trigger on my M&P 45 and I really don't notice that much difference. I got the 45 in a trade and it had the APEX installed. Comparing it to the trigger on my M&P 9 , and M&P 9 compact it is hard for me to feel the difference. I would save my money for ammo, just my 2 cents.

I will pretty much stick to my original post about saving money for ammo. But I did go and double check the difference between my APEX trigger and my stock trigger. The stock trigger was on the 9mm compact. It is not as good as the APEX on the 45. The APEX broke cleaner and reset was better. On the range I can see this being noticeable, in SD situation I doubt I would notice. I am pretty sure I would be close to a mag dump on the bad guy.

It depends which kit you had, but the difference is noticeable. I had the duty carry kit on my 45c and the trigger pull was reduced by 2lb, to try something different decided to put the Fss kit on my 9mm and love it so much that got the same kit for my 45c it reduces travel, reset, it breaks clean and crisp, trigger pull is around 6lb, my accuracy improved too. Also polished all the internals it does makes a difference.

I haven't mess with the trigger on my shield yet but I did put Apex hard sear & USB on my FS40 and it was night and day different

My issue with M&P triggers in general is the wall I feel just before the break. I fired and dry fired mine thousands of times and just couldn't get past that last bit of stack before the break. I find that all M&P's I have handled have the same problem for me.

I have installed the kit, minus the striker safety. My FS has just the Apex sear and it is really nice, just a nice light pull all the way through. But it is to light for me on a carry piece. So my Shield has the Apex sear and trigger spring, and it is what I consider perfect for carry, just light enough for me to pull the trigger with out disturbing the sights.
