I don't know. If it gets cold in June/ July it would cause a panic. People would think the mayans were right. Any slow movers, or just plain ugly people, would be shot as zombies. Families would retreat to their underground shelters. Hard core survival mlitia would develop. Some of us would go live in the woods with no modern conveniences at all.
