I have a FDE M&P9 2.0 Compact, the 2022 Spec Series and a 2023 Spec Series. My favorite pistols, but thinking maybe sell the 2022 Spec just because it's the same pistol as the FDE and then add something else to the collection.

This isn't a post of have to sell. Just kicking around the idea if I could use the money to add another 9mm handgun I enjoy.

FWIW, I shoot everything suppressed so threaded barrel (Whether factory or aftermarket option is mandatory) So is optics ready and 9mm only.

Thoughts?

Your choice to sell of your "favorite" pistol so make up your own mind and deal with it .

That was a completely useless, redundant, and jerk-like post.
To address the OPs question, since you already have another M&P, and they're not difficult or expensive to replace ( new or used), plus, it sounds like you're already leaning towards "new toy", I'd say go for it.
BTW, what brought me to this thread was the fact that ive been looking hard lately at essentially the identical pistol, on my favorite local classified site.

I would sell one maybe get a rifle if you don't have one. I had a M&P 2.0 9 spec long slide and Compact , both were accurate so sold the Long Slide.
I'm covered with all my NEEDS so this would be sell and buy something else on my short list that I want.

I've just never understood why a person would ask others opinion about what to buy Next . Not like the op is a new to firearm person ! That why I replied as I did - Do your research and make your choice and move on . But then your reply to me was completely useless, redundant, and a jerk-like as far as I'm concerned too .

Asking for views, perspectives, opinions, advice, etc, about a S&W pistol, on a S&W internet forum, IS part of "doing his research" !!! It's why forums exist, and there probably is no better source of good information and advice ( excepting the occasional useless, jerk-like post that tells him ,"it's your choice....make up your mind and deal with it.")
