Selling for a Friend Yes/No

I searched for a answer but couldn't find the answer. Thought I'd post here as it seems to be a catch all. A long-time friend of mine inherited a Smith 657 no dash 6" from his brother. He wants to sell it. Is it possible to post something on the forum to get intouch with him, or as an alternative I could post it in the classifieds? If this has been addressed before (probably has), please direct me to the thread.

Have your friend join the forum and sell it himself. Listing for someone else and taking responsibility for the sale is a bad idea.

We scrutinize all new members, but there's no minimum number of posts required to place an ad or use the PM system. Make sure he reads the classifieds rules first.

I did not know that. I thought one had to have a minimum of xx posts to sell. I'm a member of several firearm sites and seem to remember different rules to sell.
