Oh the frustration...So I had a piece I lost favor with not that I didnt want it when I bought it. So I researched to see the going rate and give a descent price, more than fair. just to move on.But I was itching for a different piece. So its time to find the sacrificial lamb. So it was posted locally online as a USED piece with a fair amount of pictures. and here they come....outta the woodwork...We've all dealt with them one time or another. You know the ones that dont feel rules dont apply to them. The ones that firm still means negotable...That USED means GRAIL mislabeled....you get my drift..Buyers that "only" have a few bucks short of the price...Buyers that want the seller to meet them HALF way when they live a 100 miles away.....just to LOOK at it....SO if I decide to drive half way (50 miles). dont I have to drive 50 miles BACK??? Hello?....I just feel like slappin someone!! Ones that continually flip the piece over and over like they missed something the first time....You know what they looking for.....you know it...they're looking to negotiate...on a piece that was fair priced below market....because whatever you have it priced....its still not cheap enough! Yep, they're out there. Have a nice Day! dont let the bottom feeders steal your joy

They are out there. Years ago, I was selling a nice little 175 Yamaha CT1-C dirt bike for 575.00. A very fair price. A big time banker pulled up with his son and wanted to buy it for 400. I told him I would pour gasoline on it and burn it first before I would sell it for 400. Know what happened? He bought it for 575

Yes, the Frustration... I had a Guy walk up to my table at Gun show. Had a M1 for sale. Had a paper with it, price, extras, date of manufacture, etc. No good morning, Hello, nothing, Just "What is your bottom price?"... I picked up the card, read the price off it to him. His face got an even stupider look on it... walked away. People....

I have pretty much sent my guns to a semi local gun auction house. They do a great job, have a wide following. They handle everything, selling, shipping, FFL, etc. I have been well pleased with their results. He sells only on-line via proxibid. When I think of everything involved his fee isn't that bad and worth it. He charges a sliding fee depending on price sold for. 18% up to $2000, then 10%. There are also lesser fees when you get to the much higher prices. He has 4 auctions per year.
