Harry, Thank you for the explanation. Very imformative indeed.
By the way, that appears to be a very nice 39-2.
Are you sure it wasnt manufactured in Springfield Mass, USA and imported to Belgium.
A warm welcome to the Forum.
Jim

First of all, I have to confess that I hardly can write English.
I can read it.
Unfortunately, I have this text from Dutch via internet in English (American) translated.
I apologize if the grammar is wrong.

I am very happy with my S&W Model 39-2.The gun is in absolute mint condition it looks new.
Unfortunately I miss the manual what I regret.
Maybe knows someone on this forum how I can come to a manual.

I have assumed that the 39-2 was made Belgium.
It made by possible this it is just a quality mark for Belgium and the Netherlands.

Regards, Harry, from Holland (The Netherlands)

Harry,
A copy of the Model 39 pistol manual is available on Ebay. I do not even have a copy of it myself. I would send it along if I did. I will try to find a file I can attach.
Perhaps another forum member has a file for it.
The manufacturing info is stamped on the left side of the slide behind the Smith&Wesson stamping on your pistols slide.
Hope this helps.
Jim

Dear forum members,

The document with the manual is not quite OK.
It turns out to be damaged and therefore not complete.
On the picture you can find in the annex the manufacturing mark.

I still hope on a complete guide.
The explosion drawing is beautiful, thanks for that.

Best regards from The Netherlands, Harry M.

they are one of the best single stack 9 mm made. i took my 39-2 out today and ran 150 rounds of my cast lead reloads. the gun shot them all without any problems. it is a machine, just keeps on running.
