howdy to all, can anybody help me with the serial number on my model 59??
the serial number is A472644, I would like to know when the 59was born or built? thanks..

thanks max, I had found the s&w phone number and called them
about the manufacture date, they stated in the 1978 range.
the same as you stated to me. thanks..
