Just wanted tell my experience with these primers. I had loaded about sixty 38 specials the first thirty were loaded with Federal primers the remainder with the SA primers. The Rounds loaded with Federals all fired successfully, with the SA primers I had two or three ftf in every cylinder. They all fired on the second try but two ftf after repeated tries. Now I have to figure what to do with the 300 rounds I have loaded with these. I was using my GP100.

I had a similar experience. They're just hard. If you've replaced the factory mainspring with a lighter one, going back to the factory one might work. My solution is to use them in 9x19, where they work fine.

I bit the bullet (so to speak) and bought a case of Federal 100s for my .38/.357 loads.

I have used as few thousand of them with no complaints. I even got a couple of thousand for free from a buddy who hated them. Too hard. Had FTF issues. If you have a weapon with a marginal firing pin hit the may give you troubles.

I purchased 5000 since they were a good price at the time. I use them for 9mm and have had many FTF's with them. They often fire the second time but there have been several that never fired. I will use them up for range use but I don't trust them and will not purchase them again.

One primer that doesn't fire the first time is too many. As long as American-made primers are available, that's always my first choice, even if they cost a little more. Well worth the extra expense.

I have had no failures to fire from my revolvers, but a friend has encountered FTF from his striker fired 9mms

The thing I have found is that they have to be fully seated. Maybe they are the same hardness as small rifle primers, I don't know. I will take all I can get. I have used them in revolvers, da/sa semi- automatics, and striker fired. In fact, I just ordered another 4000.

Loaded and fired over a thousand of them, not one problem with them in four different revolvers or marlin 1894 and Heritage mod 92. Can't beat four cents delivered, work just as good as the Federals I was using for double the price.

I’ve shot about 3,000 so far in various S&W revolvers, CZ Shadow 2 (Cajunized with lighter springs), Kimber 1911 9mm and a Glock 34, Gen 5. I’ve had one light strike in the Glock, no other issues. I make very sure they are fully seated.

The only gun I own that fires the SA primers 100% reliable is my AR9. I have a few thousand of them and once they're gone I won't be buying any more.

I bought several thousand and had 4 or so in the first couple hundred that took 2 strikes to fire in my revolvers. Since I’ve been more conscious of fully seating them and have now fired about 1500 without a misfire. I load on a Dillon SDB, Lyman All American 8, RCBS Rock Chucker and sometimes prime with an old Lee hand primer but most of the time use the presses priming system.

Yes they’re tough primers. They’re probably the hardest primers I’ve ever used but properly seated they work 100% of the time in all of my revolvers. I’ve been shooting them in my Pythons, K38’s, various Colt and Smith 32 Longs and Smith Terrier with no issues.

where were they 4 cents delivered?

Keep in mind that they are labled "made to NATO specs." So, unless you are firing these primers in NATO spec'd firearms that have not been modified, expect FTF. They are probably hard. I shoot them in NATO firearms and have had ZERO ftf. with NATO spec'd firerarms.

Norma sells them direct. If you buy $150 worth it’s free shipping and no hasmat.

I ordered more a few weeks ago. After the first batch of 38’s I loaded and had 4 failures on first strike I’ve not had another failure. It just takes a little more muscle to seat them and they’re 100% reliable.

I suspect these are tough enough to use in magnum rounds and think I’ll give them a try in some 357’s.
