I have the same stickers on my vehicle. I just put them on there because I love both brands. Nothing more than that
Some people are not as afraid as others of letting their opinions be known.
Ok, if someone can produce some empirical evidence showing that vehicles with gun decals/stickers get broken into more than vehicles without said devices I would be willing to discuss the matter. Anyone? Antidotal is not empirical.

Beg pardon but I do not have actual numbered stats at hand but will say that in my immediate area car "break ins" seem more a crime of opportunity i.e. checking and finding car doors unlocked than a burglary. Seems to reason that other communities would have a similar issue.
That would be the nature of society otherwise we'd all be hermits on a hill.
If I was a thief, I wouldn't even notice the stickers, I would think anyone who would drive a Kia is an easy mark.

30 YEARS OTJ, 20+ years retired. As a geezer my only defense advantage is as a range rat I've kept up my weapon skills to a high level. Than and I carry small and light. Serious concealment gives me the element of surprise.
No gun hanging out, no printing, no gun decals on my truck or stupid warning signs. Just a gray haired old man in a loose Hawaiian shirt or flannel in the winter.
I don't even carry a bunch of extra bullets. But I'll bet my money and life that I can out shoot any gangbanger with a simple J frame.

A lot of you guys are giving thieves way to much credit. The vast majority are just looking for cars or home they think they can break into and get away with it. If they have any brains at all and want guns why wouldn't they simply keep an eye on gun shops and ranges.
Here I see gun racks, sometimes with guns in them and I would also bet the vast majority of trucks and SUVs dust or mud covered from coming into town from ranches have guns in them. But, they also have owners who might well shoot you for getting into their rig uninvited. If they did the county attorney isn't going to do much because he knows he would never get a conviction. If however the owner simply called the sheriff, he would come and arrest the culprit and the county attorney would throw the book at them knowing they would get a conviction.

Maybe it's a cry for attention like "See how badass I am!"? Guy who is all hopped up on drugs probably is too high to notice. Guy who does notice it might be paying you special attention.
All your gun skills aren't going to be enough if I have a gun pointed at your head unless you think you can draw and shoot faster than I can squeeze the trigger of the gun I have at your head. Might as well not tip me off and wait for your chance to really do some good. So not really sure what good the advertising does. Why would I want to tell you I am going to hit you on your head on the left side so you can prepare and block me?

In Wyoming firearm-2A related decals/stickers on vehicles aren't uncommon and nobody pays them much mind but I read a report last summer that there has been a noticeable uptick in vehicles from Wyoming, even those without firearm-2A decals/stickers, being broken into when folks travel down to Colorado, especially in the Denver metro area.

My wife and I were going through customs in Canada when the officer asked the usual questions about guns, pepper spray, etc. Then he asked us to pull over to be inspected. We were directed to Immigration and sat there for several hours while they ransacked our vehicle. Turns out they did not like the NRA sticker in the back window. We were released and went on our way. I pulled over and scraped the sticker off.

No, I would move. I figured out a long time ago that large Urban areas weren't much different than the basement of an out house. Every single city in American with a population of over 500,000 has a higher murder and robbery rate than the whole state of Montana. Plus, if you dropped the 4 largest urban areas in Montana out of our crime statistic, our crime rate would be really negligible. I haven't lived in an area over 20,000 since the mid 90s.

Gray in all things is your friend. I don't want to interact with random people, nor do I want their attention. When I walk Rosie, the people hound (Boxer X Boston) on our nearby college campus, she is a people magnet, and that results in a compromise. Otherwise, I don't want people feeling comfortable approaching me or our house, or attracted to the car. If they are, I have made an error or their really dumb.

Count me in the grey man camp, for all the aforementioned reasons. My advantage against those who would attempt violence is that they don't know who they are dealing with. However, I do so with a certain amount of reluctance and here's why. The " other side " is certainly content to have us silenced and by our own hand, no less , and this works to their advantage. If more reasonable people were known to support the second amendment, perhaps our ranks would grow.

Criminals are less inclined to steal things that they don't know are there in the first place. Gun manufacturer stickers on vehicles, "we don't call 911" signs on houses, and all of that other crap just signal "this is where the guns are." What possible benefit is to be gained by broadcasting that to the world?
In this part of the world, guns stolen from parked vehicles are one of the top sources of "crime guns." I've zero desire to contribute to that statistic.
Cover and the element of surprise are your friends. The best cover is to be hidden in plain sight. The element of surprise includes not telegraphing your armament to your adversaries.
It's a free country, of course, and people are free to say what they want. Wisdom and good sense sometimes mean keeping your literal (and figurative) mouth shut.

In 2009 when in WA, I had a WA concealed carry permit. I went to cross the border and got sent to inspections. No gun stickers or anything of the kind. The very first question out of the guy's mouth was "do you have a concealed carry permit". I knew from the way he asked, he already knew the answer. I said yes and so it began. Do you have a gun now? Ammo? They looked though my car and found nothing because I am not an idiot.
Adorning one's vehicle with political decals or those from gun manufactures or the like, is gratuitous and could bring unwanted consequences. That said, for years I've have displayed an NRA decal on the rear window of my truck, a practice I started before there were so many wackados running around. So far I've been lucky. Probably because the turds are focused on Teslas for the time being.

That is only 1/2 the equation. Now show the statistics for every city over 500,000 and you will find them higher. But in a state with 147,000 sq miles there are only 7 cities over 20,000 that cover a combine area of just 167sq miles or just over 1 percent of the state. Yet they have well over 50% of the crime.
