Set it on fire and nuke it from orbit!

Wolf spiders are big and furry but you're right, they are common here and I don't know about there. You're lucky you don't have widows. They have a strong web that is extra sticky and make a popping noise when you break them. I accidentally stuck my hand into one cleaning last week and they neighbors should have called 911 when they heard my blood curdling scream, but they didn't. Maybe they are used to it by now...

My cat kills a lot of spiders. Sometimes he eats them and sometimes he just plays with them until they're dead, all the while smiling like the Cheshire Cat.

I don't care for lice[/B]. Never had them and hope I never do. As for spiders? They will make me hurt myself running away. They have creeped me out ever since I saw the original "The Fly" on television. "Help me! Help, me!"

Oriental friend says she eats it with every meal. :)

You do realize that the second one wanted to be your friend, right? It was getting its life back together and was seeking guidance, companionship, and someone who would accept it for what it was. <sniffle> Poor little spider.
But not to fret...it has many siblings. They'll be along shortly.
;)

No black widows here. Lots of little common house spiders but living in SE Pa for 27 years and in the same general area I've never seen a wolf spider before, if that's what it was

Not trying to creep you out...but the Philthydelphia area DOES have Black Widows. A friend just a way out of the city was bitten by one. I was loading targets in a skeet house in SE Pa and there was a big ol BW in the trap house... It did not make it past the first look. I hate spiders....and not real keen bout snakes but only kill the poisonous varieties...specially near the house. Brown Recluse are pretty bad too. BTW...they are also found in yer area. Ain't I such a BIG help?? Oh if they have anti killin spider laws...I'm gonna be a scofflaw!!

That's a first. If they are here must not be in big numbers cause I never heard of such a thing. Not on the news or any kind of caution from official sources
