sexy guns?

every once in awhile,i read a gun writer "saying how sexy this gun is". this irritates me to no end. we have enough bad press,as it is,without statements like this. does this bother anyone else?

Not me. Most anything mechanical has examples that appeal more than other examples to me. Cars, bikes, planes, toasters, you name it.
If there is a choice of anything I try to find the one that suits me first and appeal factors in there somewhere.

Um, the top gun in not very sexy, but the bottom one is VERY sexy. I picture myself with it against my vest, dealing five card stud in the saloon when Jesse James walks in. Of course I will summarily dispatch him if he makes a wrong move at my table.

Every time guns are shown in the media and they aren't those evil black rifles, it seems to always be Glocks. I say bring it on because an ugly looking Glock shouldn't turn anyone on. Don't get me wrong, fine functioning weapons they are, but sexy they are not.
