SF Bay Area find - Model 27-2 5-inch

So I was in the Bay Area Gun Vault picking up a 19-4 snub nose, when I saw this baby, and had to have her. It was a consignment piece, and the price was $699. After getting her out of 10-day jail, I discovered there were papers and the the bronze brush under the lower case liner (hadn't even bothered to look).

Serial number puts this gun around 1976 according to the SCSW. The gun has been fired, but very, very, little. Blueing is excellent all the way around.

Nice find - it's great when you find the extra stuff in the lining. Had the same experience with my 25.

Anyway, the Gun Vault is new in NorCal - right off 237 & El Camino Real in Mountain View, very easy to get to by 101. They already have some of my $$$ (Browning Hi Power) and with a whole case of C & R handguns my C & R/COE will be put to good use.

Do you have full blown N frameitis? Or are you just in the beginning stages?

Good luck now. If you don't shoot it, you'll have agreat excuse to go out and find a 'shooter grade' 27 , and the race will be on .....
