Three months ago I used the "parental controls" and blocked CNN and MSNBC. I do not add to their ratings and my blood pressure has gone down. My bartenders keep me informed.

Side question that I know is OT: Just how in heck does the tv rating people know what I am watching? I can understand it if I get a phone call from them asking, but tell me how can anyone possibly know what station I have on?
Seems like CNN is enhancing racial strife for the purpose of ratings.
They are pretty inflammatory when they hide the fact that the BG was shooting at the cop when the cop shot back.
Then they headline BG's mom who claims BG wasn't armed (mom wasn't there).
They are equally divisive when they give headline space to claims of racial disparity in treating Ebola victims. I suspect the medical care the gentleman received cost the county many hundreds of thousands of dollars.
They seem to be wed to the last minute of film of a guy who refuses, for 13 minutes, to obey the lawful order of LEOs to get out of a car.
I'm concerned.
Remember how they pounded the Rodney King tape - the edited version that didn't show him first attacking the officers...
Same with the Zimmerman case.
Shame on them!
I was channel surfing the other day and CNN had Jesse Jackson discussing ebola. He became an MD when?
I have long since learned that bar tenders and barbers are by far the best and most accurate and unbiased source of news.
Sadly, I haven't had a haircut in a barber shop in about 45 years and I rarely go to bars these day. This kind of puts my head in the sand because I've also sworn of tv and print news as well.
What I know I mostly get from reading in here. My blood pressure also has gone way down. Sigh....................
