After sharing a photo recently of an old can of Green Dot, I had a few PM's asking if I wanted to turn the old can loose. I have a pretty decent collection of old cans, so figured I would share the pics for those that like to look. Those that I have doubles of, I would be interested in doing some trading for ones that I don't have. Some of these are still sealed and others I have slowing been loading as I get to them. For those asking "how can you guys load so cheap", this is part of my answer. Most of the tall cardboard cans are ones that I bought retail in the 80's when I was just getting started in loading. That big 4 pounder of Unique is one I recently acquired for $1 per pound. Neither of us had change, so I was happy too give the seller $5. :) Yes it is still sealed, and yes I fully indent too load every grain of it I can.
If anyone has data on the old can of Dupont #6, I would love to see it. That can is full and smells fresh, so I would like to use it if I can find data.

And I thought I had a nice collection of old Powder cans. Very nice thanks for sharing.

Yes, beautiful collection, when I see these at a show, I can't take my eyes off them.

Here are 3 pages of data from the "Belding and Mull Hand Book" which includes DuPont #6 (from about 1953).

Thanks for sharing the information.
I printed it out and added it to my note book with other odd ball oldies.
Looks like a moderate load of 3.5gr pushing a cast 158gr bullet in 38sp, should load 2000 rounds = 40 boxes----I need to do some more shooting.

Got rid of most of the older cans/containers. Got plenty of the ones shown. I did find my last can of Dupont Bulk smokeless the other day. Label is torn on it though. Found a can of European powder in an ammo can too. Got to go look at it again... Name escapes me but can pretty much say I bought it from Alcan back in the day. And someone gave another can of Winchester 295 and a partial can of 230

You know...you really do have to admire those older cans. Some were distributed before the change in powder shipping regs that were pushed by the leaders of the reloading movement . Hodgdon Speer Huntingdon among others. We have it so much easier these days

I like to see some of the gunpowder cans from days gone by. I've got some older cans of Unique, 2400, WW296. How long has it been since you've seen an 8 pound metal can of WW296 Ball Powder? This is from 1980 and started using it last year and it's fresh as a daisy. I use the WW296 for Magnum loads.
