Shield 2.0 4in barrel question

Hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I'm in a bit of a bind as I live in CA and cannot buy a 4 inch barreled version of the shield as I would prefer it, so I've been trying to cobble a 4 inch upper together from spare parts that I've acquired to marry to my shield 1.0 frame. So far I have the slide, barrel, extractor and spring, as well as the striker components. Where I'm stuck is finding a recoil guide rod and spring that will fit.

The 4 inch version seems to use a different length guide rod than the dual recoil set up for the original 3.1 inch length, but the CS rep at S&W told me that they use the same one. Can anyone out there with the NON-PLUS model of 4 inch barrel verify what length the recoil guide rod is? Is the the same as the compact 4 inch M&P? Or a different spring altogether?

Anyone? Even a pic would suffice. Just need to know whether it's the same type of guide rod as the standard shield or a different one altogether.

Was the CS rep maybe talking about the 4" compact and not the Shield?

While there are hundreds of videos showing how to disassemble a Shield, very few feature the 4" version. One I saw looked like the recoil spring assembly did not have the dual spring like the 3.1" model. I looked online at the "usual suspects" (Midway, Brownell's, MGW, etc.) and couldn't find an RSA for the 4" Shield.

Where did you find the slide and barrel?

Hi Jimbo,
Here is what I have. The springs are absolutely different, both are 9mm but as you can see the 4" is a single flat wound spring while the 3.1" has a double spring.
If there is something else I can measure for you please don't hesitate to ask.
