Shield 9: Can't get the slide lock to work.

Thanks exdetsgt for checking back in and bringing this one full circle. I suspected the guys who mentioned that the slide might not be drawn fully to the rear were right. But only you could say so for sure.

Shields are kinda notoriously tough recoil springs.

Best to you in deciding what works for you.

You are exactly right, I just thought I was pulling the slide back far enough. I was used to Glocks and 1911s, both of which as I recall, are much easier to rack. But I will take it to a gunsmith, get some smoothing done - and shoot the heck out of it.
