SHIELD 9MM MAGS IN STOCK!!!

Nope, don't mind at all. I'm not unrealistic in my expectations. Like I said earlier 90-95% of all online retailers charge your card at time of purchase.

Let's see.... Amazon, Gander Mt, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Midway USA, Brownels, the list of business goes on, all charge when the item is shipped, not when it's ordered. Your "at time of purchase" does not deal with idea ordering or shipment so your 90% means nothing since doesn't address the issue.

I never complained about the timing of the shipping, until I saw that they charged my credit card 3 days before they shipped the item. That is the practice of a poorly run, most likely undercapitalized company. A sale is recorded when the title passes to the buyer, not when the order is made. Therefore they shouldn't expect my money until the item is shipped.

If you don't mind paying for something before its shipped, good for you. The companies that get my business all charge when the item ships, that is both an accepted business practice and it follows GAAP. This item was not special ordered so they should not expect to be paid days before they bother to ship the item.

You do have options. if you don't like the company - take your business to another supplier, and don't buy their products.

I'm nor sure I'd put 44mag in the same list as Amazon, etc. I don't have any inside info but I wouldn't be surprised if they were a one- or two-man operation. As for "...the practice of a poorly run, most likely undercapitalized company", I'm not so sure I agree. I've paid in advance plenty of times for stuff that's shipped days later. A prime example is Woot.com. I've been buying from them for 6 or 7 years with no issues. Oh, well, we all have opinions, I guess, about how internet retail is supposed to work. Not condemning you, Mike, your knowledge of business may well be far more than mine.
A "postscript": I got home from work at 6:30 tonight and my two mags were in the mailbox already. Factory-fresh 8-rounders packed in a plastic bag and a bubble-wrap type mailer. I'm pleased and as I said, I don't think I'd hesitate to go with them again.
And again, thanks to getoff for posting the info!

There is no issue as far I'm concerned. Out of everyone posting here, you seem to be the only one whining about it. If you don't like their business practices, don't shop there. Wow, problem solved!

To each his own. I shop where I like and with people that treat he customers correctly. If you don't care, or its ok with you how they bill/ship, be my guest,

My business is already going elsewhere. They don't care and either do I.
