SHIELD BREAKIN PERIOD

The Shield carries offset stack magazines...not single stack
Be that as it may... The way the shoulders of the mag body are, it still wouldn't allow a true double feed.
:) Most of us here did the Single-Stack/Stagger-Stack (Offset-Stack) debate a couple Years ago and simply accept that the term Single-Stack is 'Close Enough' for practical purposes.

BTW: the new G43 Single-Stack?? It's an offset stack too, but is also being marketed as a Single-Stack 9mm. ;) :)

IMO the Shield doesn't need much, if any, break-in period. Mine has been reliable since day 1 with a variety of ammo and weights.

I'd have an experienced shooter run a few mags. If the problems persist, call S&W and they'll make it right. If the experienced shooter doesn't have any problems, you're doing something wrong.

Prefers 124gr? I've had mine for almost 3yrs now and this is the first I've heard of this.
