I love my shield 9 with TLR6 light/ laser, currently in a Tulster holster. Based on the size of the gun I have very little space between the gun grip and my belt making rapid draws very inconsistent. I am an average size guy, not pear shaped. I find the same problem with my365xl. I'd like to find a holster to solve this problem, then replace the 365 with a shield plus. I'd even give up the light laser for a more consistent draw. My other option is a larger gun, probably harder to conceal but easier to get a good purchase (grasp) on. Recommendations?

I've had fantastic experience with Bravo Concealment holsters, I'd definitely give them a look.

does anyone know if the shield plus really fits shield holsters? i bought a cheap blackhawk a.r.c. and their website says it does fit, but it's too small. it squeezes the dimension between the upper corners of the slide and the bottom of the trigger guard. don't even need the retention screw to keep the gun in place. afraid it's going to mar the slide much sooner than normal if i use it.

Bought a Bravo concealment shield 2.0 holster for my Shield plus, it fit perfectly as does my shield 1.0.

From my point of view I do not worry about being the fastest draw on the block.I only look for a consistent draw allowing me the ability to get my pistol out and in a position to use it if necessary. My first thoughts are always going to be on an exit strategy.

I have a Tulster IWB for my Shield Plus and it has adjustable cant. Have you tried adjusting the cant on your holster. I'm able to get a good grip and I have XXL hands. If you haven't already, try experimenting with different cant angles and see if that works. Then figure out what holster you want.

I appreciate the comments. I have been playing with the cant. Just to be clear, my objective is to get a dood purchase rapidly, if necessary, under pressure.

I carried a Shield 1.0 in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard for about 3.5 years. When I bought a Shield Plus, I put it in the same holster & it's a perfect fit. Granted, it's a leather holster, so there's some give to it.
