Shield Conversion 30sc to 9mm

Never mind why but I've got a Shield Plus 2.0 in 30 Super Carry that I would like to occasionally shoot 9mm in. I have several 9mm mags that will fit the Plus frame. Is it as simple as dropping in a 9mm barrel and recoil spring?

No can do. The 30sc breechface is too narrow for 9mm.

You could grab a spare slide assembly online, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a used complete SHIELD 1.0 for the same price.

I bought a 9mm slide, barrel, mag, trigger, plus other parts for $200 and now shoot my 30sc EZ as a 9mm. Works perfectly. The 30sc mags even run the 9mm rounds without a problem.

Yup, bought a new .30 SC Shield Plus and swapped a 9MM Shield slide with an aftermarket 4" barrel on it. Zero issues. I carry it sometimes.
