Hello all,

I have been a glock shooter my whole life. I know, I know….

But I have always been attracted to these damn M&P's and especially the Shield so I finally pulled the proverbial "trigger" and bought one.

I am looking for a more glock like trigger pull for obvious reasons. I would like to hear from people who own or have owned the Apex Shield aluminum trigger and even more so from those running the Shield aluminum trigger and the enhancement kit together, sold in the link below:

https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid78.html

What do you guys think about it? Does it at all resemble the feel of a glock trigger? Do you like it? Was it worth the $160? Any feedback or input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Best $160 I have put in my .40 Shield. I was never keen about the hinged trigger on the M&P. I first put the FSS in my .40 FS range gun. It became a completed different gun. I then put the DCAEK kit in my .40 C. I wanted a 5 to 5.5# trigger pull because this was my EDC at first. Again, this was a great upgrade. When I got my .40 Shield, I just knew I had to do the DCAEK in it. Haven't regretted any of the changes and would do it the same all over again.

I put the DCAEK into my shield 9. Love the feel of the trigger now.

Definately best $160 I've spent as well.

Didn't care for the factory trigger. The feel of the hinge or the pull. Love the DCAEK and trigger. Like night and day.

I have the DCAEK kit and an Apex polymer trigger in my 9c. Love the results.

I put the Apex Action Enhancement Trigger on my Shield that already had the Apex Carry Kit in it. After one range session with it I had a blister on my trigger finger. I came home and took it off and put the factory trigger back on. I saw no improvement whatsoever with the Apex trigger. It's for sale if anybody wants it.
And, I am a huge Apex fanboy. I have the whole smash on my .40c and love it.

I have a 9c and I just bought a Shield last week.
I like the factory triggers on both.

They both have Apex USB & Trigger Sear in them.
I just got the kit for my Shield yesterday & I installed the whole kit.
I put 100 rounds through the gun after the Apex install. This morning I put the factory trigger spring back in - I didn't care for the Apex spring.

I have no plans to change the trigger assembly.

P.S.
FWIW, you can probably find the kit cheaper than buying it from Apex.
I got mine through Amazon (with a free trial of "Prime") and saved myself $16.55 after shipping & the lower price.

I have DCAEKs and poly AEK triggers in my 40c and 9FS; my Shield had the action kit only for now but will get the poly Shield trigger when it comes out (it may be awhile.) I prefer the feel of the Apex poly triggers to the aluminum ones.

I have the DCAEK and Poly trigger on my FS 9.

I love it.

Both were installed at the same time. The DCAEK cleaned up the trigger grit. The poly trigger 'feels' much more solid. If you pull, the slide off, you can see the action. Before, it was very 'wiggly' and the trigger bar had slop in it. Now, it immediately starts back.

Plus I like the Apex trigger much better than the OEM curve.

Couldn't wait for the polymer shield trigger so I got the aluminum one. I'm impatient like that. When the polymer does come out I'll be getting it.
