I always felt like this pistol carried well, but today I took my Shield with me on a 13 mile bike ride. I would usually take my LCP.380 with me on a trip like this, but decided to try the Shield out to try something different. I hardly noticed it was there all day. I'm really impressed with how well this carries after today's trip. I use a Galco IWB holster that is actually designed for a SIG, but works perfectly for my Shield. I knew I bought this pistol for a reason.

I was on my Mt. Bike, but in a Rails-to-Trails paved bike path with the family. I wear the holster about the 4 o'clock position, on my strong side. (Right Side) I'm going to try a little off-roading with it soon, just to see how it carries in that situation.

For hard core off-road, I carry mine in my camelbac. Not easily accessable, but safe from damage to it or yourself in a bad fall. The water bladder cushions you and the gun.

Great idea, thanks for the info.
I'm going to try that out.

Thanks. I used to put my Glock in a pocket type holster for camel bak carry. Now the shield with a safety- probably not needed.
