Shield Holsters

I have 3, An Uncle Mikes, Aliengear and Hidden Hybrid Holster.
Now this is just my opinion.

*Uncle Mikes,
Pro's- cheap $ and very easy/comfortable to wear.
Con's, can not reholster easily.

*Hidden Hybrid Holster-
Pro's medium priced $, small in size, 6 day delivery, excellent fit Kydex just a more quality piece, thick leather with suede backing= Very comfortable to wear.
Con's- non IMO

*Aliengear
Pro's-cheap $, thicker kydex (but) not as form fitting as the HHH, thinner leather.
Con= 6 1/2 week wait and poor communication as to delay, larger by 2" than the HHH, horrible smell of shoe polish that took 4 days to finally go away.
 
I almost ordered a Ctac from comptac for my shield seeing as I love the one for my 45fs. But I wanted something that I could use to carry both appendix and at 4 o'clock so I ordered an Onyour6 holster and a mag carrier. I figured at $30 if I didn't like it that much its no big deal.
 
I recently started
using the N82 pro. I'm Liking it so far, Comfortable, positive retention, easily released on gripping. I really like the Polycarbonate (Lexan) replacing kydex. Glad I got it.

I've compared my HHH to my brothers AG, and I have to say I agree. Theres an attention to detail that make the HHH worth a little extra dough.

So a question to those of you with kydex that have a sweat guard that covers the safety, does yours disengage the safety upon drawing? I just got my holster and after doing some practice draws, I noticed that it would sometimes take the safety off. It has a slight forward cant and it seems it does it if I draw the Shield slightly toward the cant. Is this by design? Or did they just mold it a little too close to the safety?

I'm wondering if I should slightly dremel out a little of the kydex so it doesn't interfere with the safety.

Just to add, it doesn't seem to do it when holstering no matter what angle I holster it.

If you are planning on carrying In The Waistband, (IWB) a great choice in holsters is to go with Kydex because of you being able to unholster and reholster your firearm without it collapsing.

I ordered an Onyour6 on friday. Didn't really know about turnaround time but heard it wasn't more than a week or so. Looks pretty good and at $50 with a mag holder and shipping, the price wasn't bad at all.
 
Currently using the Galco King Tuk, but am thinking of trying something a little smaller/single clip design, like an N82 or Foxx Mini or similar.

Buddy carries in a Hidden Hybrid and speaks highly of it as well. He bought it solely b/c is can be used both IWB and OWB.
 
I have been very impressed with Ozarks Holster after trying 4 other hybrid makers(including those mentioned above). Ozarks has best materials, best workmanship and attention to detail. The owner and person who makes these holsters is a full time cabinet maker who does holsters part time, resulting in a smaller profit margin and lower price. Selection is limited, specializing in Sig Weapons, but the Shield and others are included. I really like the comfort of the "Solo" and how it really conceals as both standard and tukckable IWB. I would also recommend going and looking at product reviews not selected for their website - only due to the fact no website is going to put anything but glowing reviews there ;)

I have heard good things about On Your 6 and pricing is excellent.
