I want a Shield Trainer Pistol in .22LR and I don't even have a Shield in 9mm yet.

.22LR Shield the Next Generation Snub Nose Kit Gun.

A 22 Shield would sell very well, maybe S&W reads this forum.

Good idea, but with all the BS going on about mag capacity. What good would it do to have a Shield .22LR if u can only have a mag capacity of 5 or 7, lol. There would be way too much reloading involved in order to have any fun with it.

7 rounds is just as many as a modern Wheel Gun.
1 more than a classic Wheel Gun.

And I live in a Free State. I don't have to worry about ammo limits. If you do then move.

I am on the fence about a 22lr Shield. I have a 9mm Shield and it is everything I could possibly want in a CC gun. I think there would have to be something that would make distinguishing a 22 version from its larger siblings automatic. (Is that a pun?) Would not want to reach into a safe and pull the wrong one by mistake.

I don't know. That would just perpetuate the belief that .22lr is an acceptable SD round. Since the Shield is a carry gun and all. Of course it would be FUN.

Maybe a slide conversion for the M&P Compacts or the full size... I'd buy 2, BUT only if you could get mags for it. #neverhaveenoughmags
