Hi,

Well it was a long 6 weeks to get these homes, thanks to Southern NY gun laws. Anyway, happy I was able to bring three total. I wont speak much about the others since this is the SW forum. The 3" Shield Plus was actually the only gun I went into the FFL to buy. It felt great in my hands, especially with the 13 round mag extension. Trigger felt slightly better than a 5Gen Glock 26 they had. Ergos, no comparison. I field stripped the Shield and did a light cleaning and re lube. Pretty impressive internals for a $500 gun. The Shield seems to have tighter tolerances than the 26 had. Better slide to frame fit. Again better than 5 gen Glocks IMHO. Happy it has a steel guide rod. I did have Tru Glo TLX Pro sights put on. Very nice, especially for aging eyes. Next step is the range. Other guns are a Wilson Combat CQB and a Walther Q4. Incredible guns! Oh, and I traded in my Springfield XD45C and 40SC. Those guns I would not recommend. Hated them both.

Do you have a limit there in NY? In CA, we can only purchase one pistol every 30 days. Not including shotguns and rimfire. Were the other two transfers/private sale?

Are you saying that there is a legal limit to the number of firearms that the state will allow you to purchase? How does that make any sense? If a product is legal, and I am legal to own it, it's none of anyone's business how many I choose to spend my money on. Here in Missouri, the only limit to how many guns you can purchase is the amount of money you have.

Yes, same here for NY. but doesn't pertain to me. Retired LEO who carried high capacity mags before retiring and HR 218 qualify yearly since retirement. LGS sells me hi cap mags and firearms. A big reason I carry 9mm is for the mag capacity. 15 plus 1 for Walther is great. I usually carry an extra mag depending on the neighborhood also.

NY does not have a limit on the number of handguns you can buy at once. We do have to wait for the vouchers to come from the Judge before you can pickup the handguns though. It usually is about 4 weeks in my southern county. Some of the northern counties away from humanity the wait is 2 weeks. California is worse than even NY. Very sad for any gun enthusiasts. 😔

It's a sh*t show. One handgun purchase/transfer in one 30 day period. We can buy unlimited shotguns and rim fire arms instead. Not saying it's becoming a habit but I have paired a pistol and a shotgun on purchase on several occasions.
It's obviously a BS struggle to control people. On top of that, we have a roster of guns to choose from that hasn't been updated since early '00. While it's a thorn in the side, it hasn't stopped us from collecting/stockpiling.
Just at a slower rate is all.

We will continue to fight for supportive state legislature. More now than ever, people are realizing the right to self defense and protecting one's family is not just a phone call away.

When I was in NY, my county gave me a coupon to carry with me and no where on the coupon does it say it's only good for one gun. Multiple times I walked in, did a 4473, paid and walked out with my guns. Had 10 days to add them to my permit.

NY is very confusing when it comes to guns, county by county has different rules.
