Due to my ever-increasing arthritis and loss of strength in dominant arm due to a bad shoulder injury I find I am needing to retire my Glock 23. It is now too heavy for me. I am considering a Shield Plus, but cannot find the loaded weight in numerous searches. The Gen 3, G-23 I have weighs 31 oz. loaded with 13 rds of 180 gr JHP. I would really appreciate it if someone here on the forum could let me know the loaded weight of a 3-inch Shield Plus, loaded with 13 rds, and with 10 rds , of either 115 gr or 124 gr JHP ammo. Thanks in advance !

Thank you ! That is very helpful info. I like the idea of the Shield Plus, with the current rebate offer, and that I think could handle the lighter weight with the 10 rd mag, and have the 13 rd for backup carry.
Thanks again for the help !

You didn’t ask but had me curious…

Glock 43x with a Shield Arms 15 round mag and loaded with 16 rounds of 147 grain is 26.80 oz.

Thanks Rob613 for the Glock 43x weight info. I had interest in the Shield Plus with the rebate, but I have a LGS near me that I will try to look at the G 43x as well. I know it comes with 2 10-rd mags, and I am trying, by necessity, to stay as light weight as possible. I will probably be limited to 10 rd mags with either pistol.

Check RKguns.com.

They have the Shield9 Plus, one 10-round mag and four 13 round mags. Bug-out bag, first aid kit, night sights, optics ready. Search the tab under "Deals." It just came back into stock after being out for 6 weeks.

CHECK to make sure you get thee four 13 rd mags. RK Guns is not being clear in their ads what you get.

You're OK with the 13 round mags, just load it with ten if you want. The 13's give you more options.

If you pick one up I can give you a recommendation for a slide assist device that absolutely works.
