I am helping friends find a pair of Shields. He works for the French Blue Adhocracy, and thus should have a 40 to match his issue ammo, etc. She is a private citizen and would be better off with a 9mm. A spare magazine each would also be needed. Any recommendations for places to find these? I figure they may have to have the pistols shipped here to pick up, as the backorder is so huge.

Shedhorn sports in Ennis ,Montana(shedhorn.com)still has 3 Shield 40's listed on their website for sale as of this morning.$449. 9mm shields are few and far between but gunbroker.com has some listings ,but be ready to pay top $ if you want one right away.Cabelas has spare magazines.Internet searches for your state might produce some results. Hope you score a pair of SHIELDs soon.

Gallery of Guns my friend.... It was fast and painless. If they are in stock you will get it within a few days. Good luck.

Bud's Gun Shop has the .40 Shield available for $449 w/free shipping as of 2 minutes ago.

If anyone gets a lead on any Shields please let me know! I am dieing to get one and just can not get my timing right.

Call gene taylors in gunnison, co. They had a 9mm last time i was in there.

I called GAT Guns this morning and they have them, but are not selling them till this weekend now when they have a huge Smith and Wesson event. I guess I will keep looking, the gas and time to head up there twice would be cost prevenative. But I am tempted! :-)

Trust me, it will be well worth the drive. GAT Guns is a huge store and have just about anything that you could possibly want. You can spend hours in there.

I ordered an MP9 Shield from Sportsmans Outdoors Superstore this afternoon. Website said "In Stock", price $449. SOSS has free shipping, which is good because my LGS rips me $35 (!) for a transfer fee. I didn't mind paying straight retail, since I've been hunting for one of these for a while with no luck. I see them advertised much cheaper many places, but they are never in stock at those prices, so what good is that?

You might check the SOSS website, as of a minute or so ago they still list them as "In Stock".

Shield Availibility

I can confirm that Vance's Outdoors, Inc., in Columbus, Ohio does indeed have a stock of S&W M&P Shield pistols for $429.99. I purchased one yesterday, 10-10-12. But, you better not delay as I don't know how many they have left.

Happy Hunting

Guess I can quit worrying about Sportsmans Outdoors Superstore coming through, they called today to verify they had received the FFL and were shipping my 9 Shield this afternoon. Shortly thereafter they emailed me the Fedex tracking number. Not bad service--from ordering online to shipping in less than 24 hrs. Young lady named Rianna at SOSS was really nice to work with. All in all, a good experience (except for the full retail price, of course...but that was my choice).

I've ordered 3 pistols from SOSS and have been very happy with their service (M&P FS 9 range kit, M&P 9c, M&P 22). Got my Shield 9 from a LGS.

Shields at Scottsdale Gun Club

A few day ago they had about 43 of the Shield 40's in stock when I checked this morning they had about 25 left. I ordered one from them and they shipped it to my FFL. I paid $399 from them.
