Shield sight fell off!!

Anybody tried mixing glow powder with clear epoxy. Charge it with a good light source for 60 seconds and it'll glow all night. I use green from GloNation. Works great

Guys who had their sight dot fall off, did you ever get cleaning solvent on the dot before it fell off?

I may have but I doubt it as I am careful. This is the only pistol I have had this happen to but like I said in my post; if this is the worst problem I have then I'm happy. Personally, my shield is my favorite small semi-auto so far.

I've had the dots fall out on a few brands. A quick dot or two of paint and it's better than new, never to fall out again.

What's a UpLula loader?:D (lets see how much mileage I get out of this question).

Was at the range this week and some guy in the next lane was struggling to load 45's in a single stack for an XDS. Just reached over with mine to offer it and he says "no thanks, I got one in my bag"! I'm thinking, you look like your gonna have a stroke loading them mags! He was shaking, his face was all red, I'm laughing my a** off on the inside. I would have dialed 911 if I had to but it was funny!

Grab yourself an UpLULA loader and you'll wonder how you ever lived before you found it.

Wonderful tool to have. ;)

I visited Walmart tonight in anticipation of the sight problem happening to my Shield.

Walmart has acrylic glow and non glow paint for $1.97 in their arts and crafts section. They also have glow and non glow lacquer nail polish in their cosmetics section. I'm thinking the nail polish will hold up better than the acrylic paint if gun cleaner gets splashed on it. Is that correct?

I've tried both. The acrylic can hold up IF you finish with a layer of clear nail polish on top as a seal.

The other problem with the acrylic I used was that there was a lot of shrinkage while drying, leaving a "pit" in the center of the dot that needed more paint to fill it.

The nail art polish that I found at the local Meijer store came in a bottle with both a pen and brush applicator. The pen, dispensing the polish with a slight squeeze of the bottle, was great for easily doing the sight dots, even better than using a toothpick.

I know I'm in the shield area and I own a compact.. but after about 400 rounds my front white dot fell off.... welcome to M&P's. But a little of the wife's white nail polish and it's better/brighter than the factory dots. Very easy to fix.
