Probably like many of you, I've shot in competition thru out most of my life, different types of firearms in diverse types of shooting.

I started shooting competition indoor, small bore with the Boy Scouts, in or about 1955.

In '58 and'59, I shot in indoor, small bore competition in high school Army ROTC rifle team.

In 1961-1964, I shot on the ARMY ROTC Rifle Team at then Texas Western College(now UTEP).

In 1968-1969, I shot indoor and outdoor NRA small bore rifle matches.

In 1970-1973, I shot on a Navy Pistol Team, South Georgia Police Pistol League and NRA Bullseye Pistol, .45 ACP 1911A1, .38 Special revolver and .22 semi-auto.

In 1980-1990, I competed in IPSC, IHMS and NRA Large bore Rifle.

In 2014-2017, I competed in CAS with SASS.

Being in the military, I've moved households many times. You know how it goes, every time you move, stuff gets lost, damaged or tossed. Over the years, I've lost or tossed all kinds of shooting awards.

The other day, my son sent me a small package. Inside was my Eagle Scout Medal and two shooting medals from 1963, he had saved them for most of his 40+ years.

I was surprised to say the least.
