I'm sorry, this shooting did not happen. It could not happen. Guns are

Illegal on all colleges in Texas. They are deafacto "gun free zones"

And in closing, we the press just HAVE to remind everyone of the terrible epidemic of gun violence sweeping the country...

Monday's shooting comes a little more than a week after seven people, including the suspected gunman, were killed in a mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis., and less than a month after a gunman opened fire at Aurora, Colo., movie theater during a midnight screening of "Dark Knight Rises," killing 12 and wounding 58.

*sigh*

Wonder how many folks were killed in cars last week in Texas? You know, those machines with all those passenger safety features like seat belts, air bags, side air bag curtains, crumple zones, integrated roll cages, ABS, backup cameras, side-viewing radar....

Did I miss the press conference for all those accidents? Did I miss the media coverage? Come on, there are 670 people killed in automobiles every week.

"According to KBTX anchor Steve Fullhart, Caffall's mother released a statement late Monday saying he had "been ill.""

It seems that nearly always after something like this happens people report they knew the shooter had mental problems. Those that knew and did nothing are just as guilty as the one that pulled the trigger.

"Shooting in TX, Auto weapons suspected"

Perhaps I just missed it, but I didn't see or hear anything in that story about "auto weapons". The only mention I saw was ""It appears that the shooter [was] shooting from a house with semi-automatic weapons," KBTX-TV said."
