Shooting magazines removed from Kroger

So now they are taking away "freedom of the press" and "freedom of speech".

A private entity not selling a particular private publication does not violate either of those tenets of the First Amendment . . .

Wal-Mart's failure to sell Wicker's Baste certainly reduces the general welfare, but you don't see me crying "What about the Preamble?"

It is just another "bite of the elephant" they are taking. Personally, I could care less. Don't buy them anyway. Why not stop selling ALL magazines? Why pick on gun magazines? To appease the antis. I can see the end game. but that's just me.

General wisdom is that one of the best
magazines is American Handgunner.

Signed up for a 5-year subscription because
it was so cheap.

I might read 10 or 15 percent of this "best"
magazine every two months.

As to newstand magazines, I've seen a
dominant theme of assault rifles, sniper
rifles with bearded men in camouflage
sporting large knives and looking real
mean.

Then there's the other trend of manufactures
such as Kimber issuing magazines without the
label "this is a Kimber" issue full of reviews of its products.

I know all this because Publix still has a large
selection of gun magazines, mostly aimed at
aggressiveness and he-manness.

It's all about kill before "they" kill you.

I guess if we carry on with this trend, soon automotive magazines will be removed because of the number of people killed with motor vehicles. Then the attacks on the AAA will begin because they are the group which supports the use of the deadly automotive interests.

Then will the food and cooking magazine go because people die from being overweight?

It seems to be laying the ground work for events which happened in Germany on 10 May 1933 when 25,000 books were burned.

Who is "they?"

Just because one place won't sell gun magazines, which you don't buy, doesn't mean they're not available elsewhere. The magazine business in general is a dying breed, soon to be replaced by digital. I subscribe to Sports Illustrated, get the magazine in the mailbox every week. The magazine goes in the trash, because through my subscription I can access it on my phone, and it's easier to carry my phone than a magazine. I'll start considering bites of the elephant when "they" tell the gun magazines that they must close, otherwise, that's just another freedom that Kroger enjoys due to our Constitution . . .

Funny thing about "magazines" is that
one which I find has articles I want to
read is Dillon's Blue Press.

More often than not two or even three
articles attract me.

And because I'm into revolvers, such
sites as Lucky Gunner and RevolverGuy
along with Grant Cunningham always seem
to have something "new" I want to read
about.

Kroger ran the completion out Toledo area. I read Handloaders by Wolfe publishing. You get 3 magazines for $20.00 or so. Better reading then all the others more info.

Another one.
