Shooting ranges in Palm Beach county FL?

Hey all,

The wife & I have been trying to find a house in Palm Beach county FL, more specifically, Wellington area near West Palm Beach. Keep getting beat out by speculators with cash but that is a different story. Assuming we finally get a place, what shooting opportunities are there in Palm Beach county?

There is a Straight Shooters range at Southern near the turnpike, I think that would be closest. About once a month the Sheriff's range is open to the public west of you.

I've been a member of Shoot Straight on Southern Blvd since they opened two years ago and enjoy the place very much. Always seems to be busy. I always manage to get a firing lane. They have both handgun and rile lanes available.
There is also an outdoor range, I'm told, somewhere near Okechobee but I've never been there.

If you didn't mind driving approx. 2 hours, one of thee best outdoors ranges anywhere in Florida is in Indian River Couty. Exit 156 off of I-95 going north from you. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
